Abhishek shows no signs of remorse, cooperates with evidence collection; Nithina's funeral held

KOTTAYAM: Abhishek Baiju, who brutally murdered his classmate Nithinamol on Friday, was brought to the Pala St Thomas college campus for evidence collection. The accused, who cooperated with the police in collecting evidence, showed the police the place where he had spoken to Nithina on the day of the incident. Later, Abhishek showed him the exact spot and the way the crime was done. Abhishek explained the incident to the police without any signs of remorse. The accused was brought to the college campus by a large police contingent.


The accused had replaced the old blade on the paper cutter with a new one before the incident. He bought the new blade from a shop in Koothattukulam. The police will take him to this shop and collect evidence. The police have decided to take the accused into custody for one more day.


Meanwhile, Nithina's funeral was held at her relative's house in Thuravelikunnu. Earlier, her body was placed for public commemoration at her house in Thalayolaparambu.
