Accidentally drank paint thinner; five-year-old boy in critical condition

PALAKKAD: A five-year-old boy is in critical condition after accidentally drinking paint thinner. The child, Faizan, is the son of Jamsad, a resident of Kalladikode in Palakkad. The incident came to light after the boy began vomiting continuously, prompting the family to investigate. It was then that the child revealed he had consumed the thinner. Following this, he was immediately rushed to the Palakkad District Hospital. The child continues to vomit. Hospital authorities have reported internal burns. Due to the severity of his condition, doctors at the district hospital have recommended that he be shifted urgently to the Thrissur Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment.
