PATHANAMTHITTA: Sabarimala Special Commissioner has submitted a report to the high court on ADGP M R Ajith Kumar's controversial travel to Sabarimala in tarpaulin covered tractor in violation of the high court order. The ADGP’s travel in a tractor was on last Saturday. The high court had directed that the tractor should be used only for transporting goods. The report pointed that Ajith Kumar had violated this. The report is under the consideration of the high court.

Ajith Kumar's travel in the tractor was from Pampa to Sannidhanam and back. It is also alleged that Pathanamthitta SP V G Vinod Kumar arranged the facility. He climbed into the tractor’s transport box from a place where there was no CCTV camera in Pampa. Some pilgrims had captured the visuals of this on their mobile phones. Ajith Kumar reached Sabarimala in connection with the consecration ceremony of the Navagraha temple built near the Malikappuram temple.

Carrying even a cleaner on a tractor is punishable for safety reasons. Special Commissioner of Sannidhanam R Jayakrishnan had been paying special attention to this matter. He had also taken steps including cancelling the permits of tractors carrying people. However, due to health issues he was not in Sabarimala for the last month's puja and consecration ceremonies. In the meantime, the ADGP conducted the journey in violation of the restrictions.
