Air Commodore MK Chandrasekhar passes away

BENGALURU: Air Commodore Mangatil Karakad Chandrasekhar passed away on Friday. He was 92. Chandrasekhar is the father of BJP state president and former Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar. He was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bengaluru, where he breathed his last. He was a family member of Mangatil in Desamangalam, Thrissur.

M.K. Chandrasekhar joined the Indian Air Force in 1954 and retired as an Air Commodore in 1986. The veteran of the Indian Air Force spent his sunset years in Bengaluru. He is survived by his wife Anandhavalli, a family member of Kondayoor Thrissur. Daughter: Dr. Daya Menon (USA) Daughters-in-law: Anju Chandrasekhar, Anil Menon (USA).

The date of the final rites ceremony will be decided later.
