Ambalappuzha Sree Krishnaswamy temple closes after youth’s body found in pond 

ALAPPUZHA: The Ambalappuzha Sree Krishnaswamy Temple has been temporarily closed. The temple was closed after the body of a youth who went missing from Ambalappuzha, was found from the pond. The body was that Mukesh of Ambalappuzha. The locals had intensified a search for him after he went missing.

The fire force officials searched the pond after finding his sandals from the steps of the temple pool. The body was later found from here and following this, the temple was closed. The administration has announced that the temple will be opened only after the temple pond is drained and corrective measures taken. Mukesh's body has been shifted to the hospital and will be handed over to his relatives after post-mortem.

The temple had closed in 2022 after finding drops of blood in the surroundings of the sree kovil. It was suspected that the blood could be due to the bursting of the varicose vein of someone who had visited the temple or blood of first menstrual periods.
