
NEW DELHI: The price of commercial LPG cylinders has been increased again in the country. The price has been increased by Rs 195.50 for a 19 kg cylinder. The increase in LPG prices in the country was due to the increase in fuel prices worldwide after Iran tightened control over the Strait of Hormuz following the Middle East tensions.
With this, the price of a commercial cylinder in Kochi, Kerala has increased to Rs 2091. In Delhi, it is Rs 2078.50. In Mumbai, it is Rs 2031, in Kolkata Rs 2208, and in Bengaluru Rs 2246.50. The price of commercial cylinders was also increased on March 1 by Rs 114.50.
The price increase is sure to significantly affect hotels, restaurants, and small businesses in the country. In the context of the West Asian conflict, the price of premium petrol and diesel was increased in the country today. Premium petrol was increased by Rs 11 per liter and diesel extra green by Rs 1.50. With this, the price of XP 100 petrol has increased from Rs 149 to Rs 160 per liter and that of Diesel Extra Green from Rs 91.49 to Rs 92.99 per liter.
