Appointment of differently-abled teachers: K-TET made mandatory

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government has issued an order making K-TET mandatory for the appointment of differently-abled teachers in government and aided schools in Kerala. This applies to appointments made through district-level committees and direct appointments. This is based on the Supreme Court's verdict that made K-TET mandatory for teacher appointments.

Instructions

👉LP/UP Category: Candidates who have passed any one of K-TET Category I/II may be considered for appointment

👉High School Category: K-TET Category III (KTET-III) qualification is mandatory

👉Language/Specialist Teachers: K-TET Category IV qualification will be considered for language teachers and specialist teachers in the primary category

👉High school level language teachers who have passed K-TET Category III do not need to pass Category IV

👉The current practice of excluding those who have passed C-TET Primary Stage from K-TET Category I and those who have passed Elementary Stage from Category II will continue.
