PATHANAMTHITTA: It has been alleged that rituals were violated at the Ashtamirohini Vallasadya in Aranmula. Tantri Parameshwaran Vasudevan Bhattathirippad has written to the Devaswom Board, pointing out that rituals were violated by serving Vallasadya to Minister VN Vasavan before serving it to the deity. The letter was sent on Sunday.

In his letter, the Tantri demanded that a public ritual of repentance should be performed to correct the violation. It says that all members of Palliyoda Seva Sangham responsible for organising the sadya, as well as members of the temple advisory committee and the administrative committee, must prostrate before the deity, present a monetary offering. and prepare a sadya using eleven measures of rice.

The Tantri also demanded that the sadya should be served to everyone only after it is first offered to the deity. In addition, all those involved must pledge that such a lapse will not happen again.
