Assam man attempts to sell his newborn baby to UP native; shocking sale deal for Rs 50,000

KOTTAYAM: An attempt was made to sell a newborn baby in Kummanam, Kottayam. The police have taken the baby's father, the middleman and the person who came to buy the baby into custody. The attempt was to sell a two-and-a-half-month-old baby boy. The attempt was to sell the baby for Rs 50,000.

The baby's father is from Assam. The buyer was a man from Uttar Pradesh living in Erattupetta. The baby's mother was against selling the baby. The woman then told her co-workers about the incident. That's how the police got the lead and were able to stop the sale from happening.
