Bar timings to change in Kerala; Notification to be issued soon

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The working hours of bars in the state have been extended. From now on, all bars in Kerala will operate from 10 am to 12 midnight. A notification in this regard will be issued soon. Once the notification is issued, the new timings will come into effect.

Currently, only bars functioning in the tourism sector have working time from 10 am to 12 midnight. The government came up with the new decision minding the longstanding demand from bar owners. The owners had demanded an increase in the working hours by two hours, citing the plummeting income from the bars. Currently, the working hours of the bar are from 11 am to 11 pm.
