'Secular Kerala has won before the nation'; V D Satheesan thanks people for UDF's resounding victory

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition Leader V D Satheesan thanked the people of Kerala for giving the UDF a resounding victory. He said that secular Kerala has won before the nation and promised to usher in a new era for the people.

Satheesan added that 'Team UDF' is a model for coalition politics and that the victory is a recognition of its secular stand. He also said that women and young voters played a key role in the win and that they have high expectations from the UDF.

"The UDF would move forward with a strong sense of responsibility and work towards making the state number one in the country through various plans and initiatives," he said.

Satheesan added that the party high command would decide who would become the Chief Minister and that discussions on this would begin soon. He also alleged that the LDF is handing over an empty treasury to the UDF.
