BJP Kerala's seal on Election Commission's letter; CPM raises allegation

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The CPM has alleged that a letter from the Election Commission of India carried the seal of the BJP. According to CPM, the letter was attached to an email sent by the Election Commission to political parties. They claim that the document had the Kerala BJP’s seal on it. CPM also shared the letter on its official X (formerly Twitter) account.

The letter is dated March 19, 2019. CPM has questioned whether the BJP and the Election Commission are using the same seal. The party has also raised allegations at the national level that the Election Commission is acting as an agent of the BJP.

However, the Election Commission has denied these claims. It said that the original document does not contain any seal. The Commission also stated that the same document is available on its official website and has been circulated during multiple elections.
