Blast in Kannur; window panes of houses smashed

KOOTHUPARAMBU: There was a blast in the middle of the road at Mouvanchery Peedika in Kannur. The incident happened at around 12.15 am. The windows of two nearby houses were smashed. The police are investigating whether it was a firecracker or a bomb. The windows of the houses were smashed by the explosives and stones on the road.

The houses of Prajina and Kavya were damaged. No one was injured in the accident. The FIR says the explosives were thrown with the intention of fueling the conflict in the

area where there is a political animosity. Following the explosion, the CPM and the BJP came forward blaming each other. The Kathirur police are investigating the incident.
