KANNUR: The security of the chief minister’s residence has been tightened following the bombing in Pinarayi. Bombs were hurled at a house that had sheltered the accused in the murder case of CPM activist Punnol Haridas, last night.
The bomb was hurled at a house in Pinarayi Pandyala Mukku, where Nijil Das, who was nabbed the other day, had been sheltered. The house was damaged in the attack. RSS activist Nijil Das had been absconding for two months. The location of his hiding place was found on checking his wife’s WhatsApp chats.
Two bombs were hurled near the house, said the police. The RSS has alleged that the CPM is behind the incident. Haridas, a native of Punnol in Thalassery, was hacked to death by a four-member gang on February 21.
