THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC president K. Sudhakaran MP said that the Chief Minister is trying to save himself by protecting the accused P Sasi and ADGP by rejecting the ruling party MLA who made the allegations.
"The Chief Minister is aware that Anvar's allegations are directed against him. That's why the Chief Minister is not abandoning those facing allegations and is instead providing a good certificate for their mafia activities. The Chief Minister has no answer regarding why the ADGP met with RSS leaders. Saying 'let the investigation proceed, and we'll see' is itself proof that the investigation won't proceed in the right direction," Sudhakaran said.
"The investigation into the Thrissur Pooram disruption has not been completed even after five months. After the issue sparked controversy, a direction was given to submit the report within 24 days. Instead of investigating the ADGP's role in the Pooram disruption, the Chief Minister handed over the investigation to him. No proper investigation has taken place into the Thrissur Pooram disruption controversy. The forces behind the Thrissur Pooram controversy will only be revealed through a judicial investigation that includes probing the ADGP's meeting with RSS leaders," Sudhakaran said.
Sudhakaran alleged that the BJP's victory in the Lok Sabha election was facilitated by disrupting the Thrissur Pooram festival.
