Brutality of school headmaster for indiscipline during assembly; class 10 student's eardrum ruptured

KASARAGOD: A school student's eardrum has been broken after being beaten by a teacher. The incident took place at Kundamkuzhy Government Higher Secondary School in Kasaragod district. Abhinav Krishna, a class 10 student of this school, was beaten. The complaint alleges that the child was beaten by Headmaster Ashokan.

The incident took place during the school assembly the other day. The boy had moved gravel with his foot while standing in line during the school assembly, which angered Ashokan. Abhinav says that he was beaten immediately after the assembly ended.

Headmaster Ashokan claims that Abhinav was beaten up because he did not stay in line. Abhinav's parents have filed a complaint with the police and the Child Rights Commission. The child is currently undergoing treatment. The mother says that the doctor has advised the child to undergo surgery. "The PTA president and teachers tried to reach an agreement with us and offered us one lakh rupees," the boy's mother told the media.
