Case against KSU Kannur district president for touching body with sexual intent

KANNUR: The police have registered a case against KSU Kannur district president Athul on the complaint of a woman of touching her body with sexual intent. The woman pointed in her complaint that he accepted money from her and cheated her after promising to marry her. The case has been registered by Kannur women police. Reports say Athul is on the run.

The complainant is a KSU activist. The woman was having a cordial relationship with Athul since 2018. Her complaint said that he touched her body with sexual intent while they were on a trip. The complaint to the chief minister and city police commissioner said that there was an attempt to make her withdraw the complaint. Her complaint said that she had given him Rs 1,60,000 at various times.
