NEW DELHI: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that there is a possibility of landslides in Kerala and Karnataka in April. The landslides are caused by summer rains. The summer rains are likely to intensify in the coming days. The IMD has also clarified that there is a possibility of floods in the northeastern states in April.
There is a possibility of thundershowers in isolated places in Kerala today and tomorrow. The IMD has pointed that there is a possibility of thundershowers and strong winds with a speed of 40 to 50 kmph on April 3 and 4. A yellow alert has also been issued in various districts for April 3 and 4.

A yellow alert has been issued in the following districts. The possibility of isolated heavy rain is predicted. Heavy rainfall is defined as rainfall of 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm in 24 hours. The IMD has said that there is a possibility of light rain with thunderstorm and strong winds with a speed of less than 40 kmph at isolated places in Alappuzha in the next three hours.
