THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Dr. Ciza Thomas took charge as the Vice Chancellor of the University of Technology. Ciza, who arrived at the university headquarters at 11 am yesterday, was received by the staff with a bouquet. Outgoing VC Dr. Sivaprasad also came to receive her. Ciza said that she is happy to be back as VC and does not want to think about any old incidents anymore.

"My responsibility is increasing. I will move forward in cooperation with the government. There is no administrative obstruction of any kind in the university. The shortcomings will be resolved. It is not the person Ciza, but the institution called the Technical University that is bigger. I am grateful to the governor for his support. I have not taken the minutes of the university. Yet I was portrayed as a thief. I have a clear sense of purpose," said Ciza. Ciza went to the secretariat and met Minister R Bindu after taking charge. The minister assured her of the government's full cooperation.

Digital VC charge too

Dr Saji Gopinath will be late in taking charge as the VC of the Digital University. He should resign from his professorship at IIM Kozhikode or retire on his own. Until then, the government has issued an order giving the charge of Digital VC to Ciza Thomas.
