Clash between SFI activists and police during union elections in Kannur Uty

KANNUR: A clash broke out during union elections in Kannur University. An argument broke out between KSU-MSF and SFI activists as the election process began, leading to a clash. It is also alleged that the SFI candidate snatched the bag of the UUC (University Union Councillor).

After the SFI candidate was detained by the police, a scuffle broke out between the activists and the police. A police officer sustained injuries in her hand. The activists later released the SFI candidate who was being held by the police. The police lathi-charged the activists, but they did not disperse.
