
THRISSUR: A major clash broke out during a Youth Congress march in Thrissur against the central and state governments, highlighting issues including gold theft. A clash broke out between the police and activists. The police arrested Youth Congress state president O J Janeesh and others in the incident. The march was led by Janeesh to the district collectorate.
Around fifty activists were present at the protest. There was a scuffle and an altercation between the police and the group led by Janeesh at the station. During the march, an attempt was made to topple the barricade and then the activists clashed with the police. With this, the clash intensified and the police used water cannons. Later, the police arrested and removed the activists.
