Class 10 boy stabbed on face with scissors; Horrific assault in Wayanad school

WAYANAD: A complaint reached police alleging brutal torture to a schoolboy in the name of ragging. Sabarinath (15), a 10th-class student of Wayanad Moolankave government school, was subjected to the assault. He is a native of Ambalavayal.

In the horrific crime committed. Sabarinath was stabbed in his face with scissors. He also suffered minor injuries to his ears. According to reports, Sabarinath was summoned by seniors from his class on the pretext of talking with him. There were also attempts to forcibly discharge Sabarinath from Bathery Taluk Hospital where he was under treatment.

Relatives also alleged bias from hospital authorities who failed to give proper treatment to Sabarinath. The police reached the hospital and collected information about the incident.
