Collapse of Keecheri Kadavu bridge span; one body found, search underway for second person

ALAPPUZHA: The body of a worker, who went missing after a span of a bridge under construction collapsed, has been found. Binu, a native of Thrikkunnapuzha, died. The search continues for Raghav Karthik, a native of Kallumala Mavelikara, who went missing after the accident. The span of the Keecheri Kadavu bridge in Chennithala collapsed around noon today.

The accident occurred while the work was in progress. Seven workers on the bridge fell into the water. Binu and Raghav went missing. The others swam to shore. Binu's body was found during a subsequent search. The body was found fifty meters away from the accident site.
