CPM demotes panchayat president for lighting lamp before Bharat Mata

KOZHIKODE: The CPM has demoted a panchayat president for lighting a lamp before a picture of Bharat Mata. The party level action was taken against Thalakkulathur panchayat president K T Prameela in Kozhikode.

Prameela, an area committee member, was demoted to the branch. Action has been taken against Prameela for participating in the programme organized by the RSS and lighting a lamp before a picture of Bharat Mata. The president attended the key distribution of the house built by a team led by Union Minister Suresh Gopi, for a poor family.
