Death toll reaches three in Panniyarkutty jeep accident

IDUKKI: Another person succumbed to injuries suffered in the jeep accident in Panniyarkutty. The driver, Abraham, who was undergoing treatment at the hospital with serious injuries, died this morning. With this, the death toll has now reached three.

The terrible accident took place last night. There were four people in the jeep including couple Bose and Reena. Both of them died on the spot. Reena is the sister of Olympians KM Beenamol and KM Binu. Another person was also seriously injured in the accident. The bodies were shifted to Adimali Hospital.

Locals informed the police about the incident after hearing the loud sound of the accident. Locals also joined in the rescue operation. The jeep fell into a gorge while traversing a curve.
