THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A dispute broke out after a film starring actor Dileep was screened on a KSRTC bus. The argument began when a woman passenger objected to the screening, leading to differences of opinion among other passengers and ending in a verbal clash. The incident took place on a Thiruvananthapuram-Thottilpalam Super Fast bus. As the argument intensified, the conductor stopped the film.

The dispute was triggered by the screening of 'Ee Parakkum Thalika', a movie starring Dileep. A woman from Pathanamthitta, identified as Lakshmi R. Shekhar, was the first to raise her voice against the screening. After some other passengers supported her protest, the conductor switched off the movie. The woman said passengers should not be forced to watch films they are not interested in while travelling on a KSRTC bus. She later stated that the majority of passengers responded positively to her objection.

However, some passengers came forward in support of the actor and opposed stopping the film. They argued that there was no need to discuss an issue on which a court verdict had already been delivered. In response, the woman said that many women did not want to watch such films during their journey. “There have been several court verdicts, but Dileep’s films cannot be shown on this bus,” she said firmly. Some other women passengers also spoke in support of her stand.
