Dr A Jayathilak to be next chief secretary of Kerala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Dr A Jayathilak has been appointed as the next chief secretary of Kerala. The decision was taken at the cabinet meet convened here today. He is presently the additional chief secretary in the finance department. He will replace Sarada Muraleedharan retiring on April 30.

Manoj Joshi, a senior IAS officer of the Kerala cadre and on central deputation in Delhi, was directed for the post of the new chief secretary. Jayathilak was selected after Joshi did not express in it. Jayathilak’s tenure will be till June 2026. He told media that priority will be given to developmental projects and refused to respond on controversies.
