Employee slips while trying to stop wild boar from running into office; six stitches on head

KALPETTA: A woman was injured after slipping and falling while trying to prevent wild boars from running into the office. The incident took place at around 11 am today in Kumpetta, Wayanad. The injured person is Rasiya, an employee of Kumpetta Milk Society.

Rasiya slipped and fell while trying to close the shutter to prevent wild boars, who had come in large numbers to the road, from running into the institution. She was admitted to the hospital with a head injury. The wound required six stitches.

A similar incident occurred in Kannur. Jayachandran, a native of Vellariyanam, was injured in a wild boar attack. He was admitted to Kannur Medical College. The attack took place this morning while he was doing rubber tapping.
