Enters name falsely; Ration card with Sreenadevi Kunjamma’s name cancelled 

PATHANAMTHITTA: A complaint filed alleged that Sreenadevi Kunjamma contested the district panchayat elections after including her name falsely in the ration card. The complaint was filed by Sreejith, Shyamjith and Sanjith, the beneficiaries of the ration card. The name was entered in the card stating that she is the daughter of the card holder's sister-in-law. However, the complaint says that the card holder does not have a sister-in-law or daughter.

The complainants noticed that her name was entered falsely in the ration card when the officials told them during SIR verification. The complainants said that they don’t have any relationship with Sreenadevi. There are no residents in this address presently. With this, the civil supplies officer cancelled the ration card in which Sreenadevi Kunjamma's name was entered.

Meantime, Sreenadevi Kunjamma said that she had been living in the house mentioned in the ration card for a long time. She also claimed that she is related to the complainants. She alleged that the complaint is part of a political revenge. Sreenadevi left the CPI and joined the Congress last year. She alleged that when she was in the CPI, she used the same address to contest for the district panchayat and is now deliberately creating a problem which did not exist then.
