"Even Mohanlal is drinking when film starts; censor board is censoring while drunk"

ALAPPUZHA: Senior CPM leader and former minister G Sudhakaran has alleged that the censor board is censoring while drunk. Sudhakaran alleged that the characters in the film are shown drinking in the very beginning and that the makers of the film are giving alcohol and money to the censor board members. G Sudhakaran was speaking at the Onam celebration program of the Haripad Temple City Residence Association.

"The film begins with drinking. Even Mohanlal is drinking when the film starts. Even quality actors are playing roles where they are drinking at the beginning of the film. Can't the film censor board tell them not to show drinking in the beginning? They are also watching it while drunk," said G Sudhakaran.

"The makers of the film will buy them bottles and give them money in hand. There are people on the censor board who have not seen the film and are people of the party in power," Sudhakaran said. He added that he knows such people in Alappuzha.
