THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A complaint reached the police that a shop was vandalised for not delivering a payasam (sweet pudding) parcel in Pothencode. A car rammed into the kiosk where Karyavattom native Rasina was selling payasam. The shop was located on a roadside near Pothencode Farmers Bank.

The speeding car rammed into the kiosk, did the damage and went away without stopping. According to the complainant, the car owner was in fury after he was informed that the product was sold out. The incident took place at around 4 pm today. Two men who arrived in a white Scorpio asked for the payasam parcel. After knowing that the payasams were sold out for the day, the car driver put the vehicle in reverse mode and rammed into the kiosk.

Rasina's son, Yasin, was in the shop at the time of the incident but escaped unhurt. Rasina later filed a complaint with the Pothencode police. The police started an investigation focusing on the vehicle number. It is reported that the vehicle belongs to Rahul, a native of Nellanadu, Venjaramoodu.
