First time in history; Centre’s Onam gift of Rs 3 lakh to Pulikali groups in Thrissur 

THRISSUR: Actor and Union Minister of State for Tourism Suresh Gopi has announced financial assistance from the Centre as an Onam gift to the famous Pulikali groups in Thrissur. An amount of Rs 3 lakh has been allocated to each group. Suresh Gopi himself informed this via his Facebook page.

Suresh Gopi also clarified that this is the first time in history that the Union Ministry of Tourism is allocating Rs 3 lakh to the Pulikali groups in Thrissur as part of the DPPH scheme. He mentioned in his post that this is his Onam gift to the Pulikali groups. Suresh Gopi also thanked Union Minister for Tourism and Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat for providing all kinds of help in making this possible.

My Onam gift to the famous Thrissur Pulikali groups. I am very happy to announce that for the first time in history, the Union Ministry of Tourism will provide R. 3 lakhs each to the famous Thrissur Pulikali groups under the DPPH scheme! Heartfelt thanks to the Union Minister for Tourism and Culture, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat Ji, for all his help in making this possible. In addition, the South Zone Cultural Centre, (Thanjavur) will contribute Rs 1 lakh each to the Pulikali groups.
