Fourth Loka Kerala Sabha to commence today with global participation

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The 4th Loka Kerala Sabha under the auspices of the state government will begin today. It will conclude tomorrow. The meeting will be held at Sankaranarayan Thambi Hall in the legislative assembly. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate at 3 pm today. It will begin with condolences on the Kuwait accident. Kerala representatives from 103 countries and 25 states will participate. After the inauguration at 3 pm, theme-based conferences and regional conferences of the Loka Kerala Sabha will be held. The meeting will continue after dinner. Registration of delegates will start at 8.30 am.

The dead bodies of those who died in the Kuwait disaster will arrive in Kochi in the morning. The inauguration which was scheduled to be held in the morning has been changed because ministers and officials are going to Kochi in connection with this.

Loka Kerala Sabha will discuss eight issues related to non-residents. All seven sector discussions will be held. Emigration Draft Bill 2021, Foreign Recruitment Programmes, Sustainable Resettlement - Innovative Concepts, Weak Links and Security in Migration, New Employment and Skill Development in the Context of Diaspora, Kerala Development - New Paradigms, Changing Labor Migration Laws in Foreign Countries and Malayali Diaspora, Transition to Knowledge Economy and Diaspora.

The sectoral themes are Gulf, Asia Pacific, Europe and UK, America, Africa, Non-Indian States and Returned Diaspora. Apart from non-resident Kerala representatives from 25 states and 103 countries, more than two hundred special invitees are also participating. Members of parliament and legislature are also part of the Lok Kerala Sabha.
