ALAPPUZHA: Kerala Minister Saji Cherian said G Sudhakaran's decision to contest as an independent in the upcoming election in the Ambalappuzha constituency was purely personal. The minister also said that the party had the responsibility to respond to the allegations made by Sudhakaran at the press conference, and confirmed that the leadership will soon consider the matter.
"I was in a meeting. I did not hear what he said in the press conference. I will respond to the factual matters he raised. The party has nothing to hide. His decision to contest the election as an independent is a personal matter,” said Saji Cherian.
On G Sudhakaran's remarks that the party is full of political goons, the minister said that it was he, along with Sudhakaran, who led the party in the Alappuzha district. “In that case, he must be the first goon and I second”, said Saji Cherian.
