THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) made a record daily revenue. Figures show that KSRTC earned more than Rs 10 crore yesterday alone.
Yesterday was the first day after the Onam holiday. Had earned Rs 9 crore from Sabarimala in a day earlier. However, this is the first time that the revenue has crossed Rs 10 crore. KSRTC officials say that this is not the result of a single day, but the result of many days of hard work.
Earlier nearly 1000 buses entered sheds after turning defective. If turns faulty, it sometimes takes months or years to fix it, but that is not the case today. Now, the number of buses lying stranded is less than four hundred. Officials indicate that the revenue of KSRTC has increased due to several reasons, such as running more buses, starting more services, and giving targets to depots.
