THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Governor's policy announcement in the assembly was full of women's welfare schemes. Students, entrepreneurs, farmers and housewives took their place. Schemes to ensure income for women. Employment-based initiatives. With the assembly elections approaching, there are many announcements targeting women's votes.

'Forty Plus' bio-psycho-social project for women facing menopause. Intervention through 'Posh' portal to prevent sexual harassment at work. 'Samarambham' project for rehabilitation of violence survivors and safety at work. 'Vanita Krishi' scheme to support women farmers. NORKA Women's Cell to support women working abroad. Campaigns against dowry and drugs. 1000 'Avalidam' clubs in local bodies.

Kudumbashree in the world's spotlight

With 4.6 million members, Kudumbashree has become one of the largest missions in the world. ISO accreditation for 617 CDSs. Emphasis on leadership development, improving entrepreneurship, facilitating wage employment, and expanding the care economy.

  • 'V Initiative' with the help of the Labour Bank to promote entrepreneurship among Scheduled Tribe women
  • Self-employment assistance to OBC women to promote green employment and ensure sustainable livelihood through solar energy and organic farming initiatives.
  • 'Thanteyidam' to rehabilitate those who lived in welfare institutions during childhood once they turn 18.
  • Women's conclaves, bankers' meetings and investor meetups to encourage women entrepreneurs.
  • Back-to-lab project and fellowships for women scientists will be given importance
  • Women and youth will be empowered in sustainable lifestyles and climate and environmental protection.
  • Women's scuba team in the fire force.
  • The center will be asked to increase the incentives and wages of ASHA workers and Anganwadi helpers.
  • Suraksha scheme for economically backward women.
  • Rs 1000 per month to 31.34 lakh women between the ages of 35 and 60 who are not getting the benefits of other social welfare schemes. Financial assistance will be provided to trans women.
