THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government is ignoring the advisory board formed to pave the way for the development activities of Sabarimala. It has been alleged that the board led by T K A Nair, advisor of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, was not invited in any of the meetings held in connection with the Sabarimala issue. The panel was formed in December 2017. The advisory panel is in charge of the supervision of construction activities at Pampa and Sannidhanam as well as the infrastructure development in parts including Nilakkal. However, allegations were levelled that even after the major destruction witnessed in Pampa and nearby areas in the Kerala floods, the board did not have any major role to play. A member has approached the government with a complaint regarding the inefficiency of the panel. The committee has met just thrice during the last 11 months. Though the meet was convened by devaswom minister, it was soon adjourned without taking any important decisions. There are allegations that the majority of the members of the panel have no clear understanding of Sabarimala master plan.
