THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The High Court has raised doubts about whether the gold plating has been changed in the Sabarimala gold theft case. The court observed that the VSSC inspection report strengthens the suspicion. The court directed that the statements of the VSSC officials who conducted the inspection in this regard be recorded.
A scientific test should be conducted and the statements of the officials should be taken to clarify whether the plating has been changed. An examination should be conducted to find out whether the plating is new or old. The SIT has been given permission to conduct another inspection on January 20. The High Court has given permission to measure and inspect the door plating as well. The case will be considered again on February 9. The SIT's inspection will be held at Sannidhanam tomorrow. It has been decided to inspect the old door as well. The VSSC's inspection report is technical in nature. More clarity should be provided on the issue. The court also clarified that the advice of other technical experts can be taken if necessary.
