THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that heavy rains will continue in the state today. The IMD has informed that there is a possibility of rain in isolated places in all districts of Kerala in the next three hours. A yellow alert has been issued in all districts except Kasaragod and Kannur today.
The IMD has informed that there will be heavy rain from tomorrow. An orange alert has been issued for Kozhikode and Wayanad tomorrow and a yellow alert has been issued for Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod. There is a possibility of isolated very heavy rain on October 22, 23 and 24. The IMD has also informed that there is a possibility of thunderstorms for the next five days. The IMD has informed that one should not venture into the sea for fishing on the Kerala-Karnataka-Lakshadweep coasts till October 24.

There is a possibility of waterlogging on major roads and blurred visibility for vehicles, which may cause traffic congestion.

If trees fall, it may lead to power outages and accidents.

The rain is likely to adversely affect humans and livestock and damage unprotected structures in the coastal area.
