E Sreedharan said that the official work of the high-speed rail project has begun, and employees will arrive one by one. He clarified that the project is proceeding as per the instructions of the Railway Minister, and there is no need to inform the state government now.
The first meeting will be in the Malappuram district. Meetings will be held in other districts where the route passes later.
The field work will begin in April and be completed before June. The locations of the proposed 22 stations will be determined through fieldwork. The amount of land to be acquired will be decided later. The survey process will also begin later. The concerns of the people will be considered before conducting the in-person survey.
