PALAKKAD: Minister of State Suresh Gopi has announced that he will step in to support the medical college established for Scheduled Castes if the state government fails to do so. Speaking at a BJP welcome event in Palakkad alongside Minister of State George Kurien, Gopi emphasized his commitment to ensuring the college's proper functioning. "If I hug someone and say that I will give them a house for Rs 4 lakh, the ministers will rush there and say that they will do it," said Suresh Gopi.

He mentioned his conversation with MP Radhakrishnan in Parliament, where the condition of the medical college for Scheduled Castes was brought to his attention. He expressed his readiness to take necessary actions if the state government remains unresponsive. "If the state government is not ready to do the affairs of the medical college, I will surely do the necessary things. Arrangements have been made for medical students," he clarified.

BJP has been actively working in the Palakkad constituency, aiming to replicate their recent success in Thrissur. In the last two assembly elections, the BJP secured second place in Palakkad and the party is now focusing on grassroots efforts in Mathur, Kandy, Pirayiri Panchayats, and Palakkad Municipal Corporation.
