Jose Alappatt passes away at 76; funeral tomorrow at Ernakulam St Mary's Cathedral

KOCHI: Jose Alappatt (76), managing partner of Alappatt Jewellery Group, has passed away. Hailing from Alappatt Palathinkal House, Divans Road in Ernakulam, the funeral of Jose will be held at 3 pm Monday at St Mary's Cathedral Cemetery, Ernakulam. He was the managing partner of House of Alappatt Jewellery in Ernakulam and Alappatt Jewellery in Kottayam. He was the son of the late PT Antony, founder of Alappatt Jewellery Group, and the late Mary Antony. Wife: Reetha Jose (of the Mala Ambazhakad Paanimkulam family). Children: Rose Mary Prashanth, Annu Ittup, Antony Jose Alappatt. In-laws: Dr Prashant Varkey (Poyya), Ittup Alappatt (Kattur), Mary Catherine (USA).
