
THRISSUR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached the cultural capital of Kerala, Thrissur, as part of the election campaigning. PM Modi landed at the Kuttanellur Government College ground in a helicopter and proceeded to the Swaraj Round conference venue in an open jeep in a roadshow.
NDA candidates C. C. Mukundan, Padmaja Venugopal and K. K. Aneeshkumar participated in the roadshow with him. Union Minister of State Suresh Gopi was also part of the roadshow. BJP workers arranged performances of various art forms for the Prime Minister at various places over a distance of 900 meters. This is Prime Minister Modi’s third visit to Thrissur in two and a half years.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in an earlier rally at Palakkad, mentioned the impending change in Kerala that will favour the saffron party. PM Modi alluded to the growing popularity of the NDA and the people's trust in the BJP. Referring to the deal allegations, PM Modi said that the BJP is the A-team in the elections and is not a B-team to make pact with LDF or UDF. The Prime Minister also made a no-holds-barred attack on the Palakkad MLA, who was earlier caught in a slew of sexual assault cases.
