
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala is likely to receive heavy rainfall today, and a yellow alert has been issued in three districts- Idukki, Malappuram, and Wayanad. The alert is for isolated heavy rainfall. Heavy rain refers to rainfall between 64.5 mm and 115.5 mm within 24 hours.
Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea until tomorrow in areas including the southwest Bay of Bengal, Gulf of Mannar, Kanyakumari region, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry coasts, south Andhra Pradesh, and the central-west Bay of Bengal.
The sea remains rough, and this condition is expected to continue until December 1. Strong winds blowing at speeds of 50–60 km per hour, occasionally reaching 70 km per hour, are likely along the central-west Bay of Bengal and the south Andhra Pradesh coast.
