KOZHIKODE: A KSRTC bus was stranded on the road after running out of fuel on the Christmas Day. The incident happened at Karassery in Kozhikode. The KSRTC Minnal bus proceeding to Sulthan Bathery from Thiruvananthapuram ran out of diesel. With this, many passengers including women and children were stranded on the road.

The bus left Thiruvananthapuram at 11 pm last night and the lapse from the side of the driver and conductor in filling fuel left the passengers stranded on the road. The bus which was supposed to reach Sultan Bathery at 7:30 am was delayed. Meanwhile, it ran out of diesel at Karassery at 8 am and got stranded on the way.

Although the passengers protested, the problem could not be resolved immediately. The passengers refused to travel in other vehicles. The bus later left for Sultan Bathery after bringing diesel from the Thiruvambady depot. The bus reached the spot two and a half hours late.
