CHELAKKARA: A family member threw garbage on the way home, resulting in a fight between the police sub-inspectors, who are twin brothers. The clash took place between twins Pradeep Kumar and Dilip Kumar from Chelakode. Pradeep Kumar is a Grade SI at Pazhayannur station and Dilip Kumar is a Grade SI at Wadakkanchery station. After the incident came to light, Commissioner R. Ilango suspended both of them pending investigation. The Chelakkara police came to know about the matter when the SIs came with their families and sought treatment at the hospital. The Chelakkara SHO informed that a case has been registered against both of them. Both of them were immediately discharged from the hospital after seeking treatment.

Both have minor injuries. Pradeep's hand has a slight bruise. The elder brother and the twin brothers live in three different houses. They used to live together. The houses share a common road. The family members started fighting over garbage dumped on this road yesterday morning. The argument that started over the phone at first later turned into a fist fight.

It is said that there have been occasional fights between the families for some time. The superiors had warned them. Dilip Kumar was previously a Special Branch ASI. He took charge in Wadakkanchery last Friday. There are no other complaints against the two. It is said that colleagues and locals have a good opinion of both of them.
