Living separately from husband; woman found dead in rented house in Alappuzha

ALAPPUZHA: A woman was found burnt to death in a house in Alappuzha. The incident took place near the Ganga library in Kalath, Alappuzha. The deceased has been identified as Olavapparambil Soumya (35)

Soumya, who had been living separately from her husband, was staying in a rented house in Kalath with her parents and her 12-year-old daughter. According to the police’s preliminary findings, she is believed to have taken her own life by setting herself on fire, reportedly due to financial difficulties.
