LPG gas explodes during attempt to put out fire

IDUKKI: A newly delivered cooking gas cylinder exploded in a house in Kattappana. The house partially collapsed in the accident. House of Kalachira Shaji was partially destroyed in the mishap. The indane cylinder caught fire while it was being fitted.

The cylinder exploded while the fire brigade arrived to put out the fire. The owner of the house Shaji and the fire force personnel escaped unhurt. It is indicated that the accident occurred due to the oldness of the cylinder. The kitchen and the roof of the house were completely damaged in the accident.
