M R Ajith Kumar recommended for Vishisht Seva Medal again

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: ADGP MR Ajith Kumar has been recommended for the Vishisht Seva Medal again. The DGP had recommended his name to the government for the President's Medal for the sixth time. The Center had previously rejected the recommendation for the President's Medal five times. The Center rejected the medal in the context of the Intelligence Bureau report being against Ajith Kumar.

The recommendation came again when Ajith Kumar was being considered for promotion. Ajith Kumar's junior officers had received the medal. The chief minister had earlier accepted the report giving a clean chit to Ajith Kumar in the complaint of amassing wealth. The chief minister accepted the vigilance report that acquitted Ajith Kumar.

A vigilance investigation was conducted against Ajith Kumar in connection with illegal acquisition of wealth based on the allegations raised by P V Anwar. The vigilance director submitted a report stating that Ajith Kumar did not have any illegal acquisition of wealth. The chief minister had approved this investigation report.
