THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Record liquor sales in Bevco during the Christmas week. The figures show that sales worth Rs 332.62 crore were made. This is the figure from December 22 to 25. This is a huge increase compared to last year. There has been a 19 percent increase.

The highest sales were made on the evening of December 24. Liquor worth Rs 114.45 crore was sold on this day alone. It was Rs 98.98 crore in 2024. It is estimated that the huge increase in liquor sales this year was due to the facilities provided by Bevco, including premium counters.

Chalakudy shop in Thrissur district came in first place with sales of Rs 78.90 lakh on the 24th. Pazhaya uchakkada in Thiruvananthapuram district (68.73 lakh) and Edappally in Ernakulam (66.92) are the next in line.
